Review:
Les put us in touch with a local architect who designed our new extension and managed the planning permission process on our behalf.

Oakley Contractors then built our Garden room  over a four month period from May 2025 to September 2025, including a 3 week break whilst screed dried prior to floor tiles being laid. Les also handled the Guildford Borough Council Building Control process liaising with their staff through the build, to achieve interim and final sign-offs through a number of inspections.

All the work undertaken by Oakley Contractors was completed to a very high standard with an exemplary level of communication throughout.  We were content with the statement of planned work and quotation provided; relatively minor additional costs, when they arose, were both unavoidable and commensurate with the extra work required

We would have no hesitation in employing Oakley Contractors on future building projects.

Name: Dom and Hannah Project: Two storey wrap around extension

Review:
Les and his team built us an exquisite two storey wrap around extension between October 2024 and May 2025, transforming our 2-up 2-down house into a stunning 5 bed property, perfect for our busy family of five.  We always really liked the family run and personal nature of Oakley contractors – from Les’ initial visit to having one or more of the team with us every day for around 8 months. Every one of their small team was always very considerate and caring considering we lived in the site for the duration with pets and 3 young children.

A special mention to Dean, who couldn’t have done more for us and whose workmanship was second to none.

The estimate Les provided wasn’t the cheapest we received but was fair and honest, backed up by his experience and knowledge and so turned out to be very reliable. Costs only increased necessarily and in conjunction with us at each step. In short, a trustworthy family run business with attention to detail and a pride in a quality finish.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Les and his team – and already have. Thank you Les, Dean, Ryan, Jez, Steve and Joe.

We feel so very fortunate to have had Oakley Contractors to do our work. From start to finish they were supportive, helpful and did the work to the highest standard. Nothing was too much trouble, they protected all immovable objects and cleared up before leaving each day. We definitely recommended them. The team are an amazing group of skilled and friendly people.
